In late 2026, we will introduce a new way to report a player who is not following the rules in chat, named Report a message. This feature will start in one region and then gradually be rolled out until it is available in all regions. We will share announcements of regions where this feature is enabled on our website news.
When you see another player in chat who is breaking the chat rules, you will be able to report their message by following these steps:
- You click the message in the chat you wish to report
- A drop-down menu will appear, and you select “Report a message”
- You select the category of what the message violates
- If you want, you have the option to add context in the free text box
- Click “Send” and your report will be placed in a queue to be reviewed by a human moderator.
What if the player has several messages that should be reported?
Don’t worry, our human moderators can see the full conversation and can take it into consideration when reviewing your report. You only need to report one message.
What happens with my report?
A human moderator will review your report to see if the reported player has violated our chat rules. Once appropriate actions have been taken, you will receive an email to inform you of our decision. In this email, you will also receive directions if you wish to appeal the decision.
Do I know if I have been reported?
No; however, if you have been reported and actions are taken on your account, you will receive an email explaining the decision, what actions have been taken, and where to appeal it.
How do I know what chat rules to follow?
You can read about our chat policy in our Terms and Conditions, as well as in this article.
What about Report a player?
The existing Report a player feature remains active and unchanged in all regions where it is currently available.
