You can start fishing once you can enter the Cape West Fishing Village, as Mr. K Trout will need your help fishing there. If you’re ever missing your fishing rod and can’t find it in your closet tabs or backpack, you can buy a new one in the Cape West Fishing Village from Mr. Loop.
You can only buy a fishing rod if your old one has been sold or deleted, so double-check if it’s really gone!
